Never again !!!
We arrived on 1.9.07, left our luggage in the room and went to visit Zadar. At 11 PM, when we came back to our hotel, we noticed that in the small Hotel Restaurant was a wedding celebration with a life music group playing. The hotel receptionist did not inform us on arrival about the wedding banquet and the expected noise. As a consequence of the noise we could not sleep and at 2 AM I called the reception, asking them to stop the music, which according to the receptionist was not possible. The next morning (2.9.07) I claimed at the reception, saying that I would not pay the full rate for this night, taking into account that we could not sleep until 4 PM. The receptionist answered that she would discuss this with the hotel owner. On the next day (3.9.07), when we checked-out and asked for the bill, the lady at the reception informed me that the owner agreed on a 10% discount, which we considered as insufficient for the inconveniences caused. The hotel owner, Mr. Nico Moric, came. He was very furious and, retaining my passport in his hands, he said that we should immediately pay the full price and go. He does not need guests like us. I asked him for my passport he said that he would retain my passport until settlement of the hotel bill. We were very astonished about the behaviour and tremendous disrespectful treatment of Mr. Moric against his hotel guests. We paid the full price and than I asked him for the official complaint forms. He declined to give me the forms. I asked him three times for the official complaint forms since this is a 3 Star Hotel rated by the Croatian Tourism Board. He declined again and said that we should go to the Police if we have a problem. Further discussions with him were worthless, so we left the hotel and some days later the country with bad remembrance. I can not recommend this hotel.
